With each purchase you make, you also purchase a vote for your charity of choice from our list. At the end of the month, we will tally up all the votes we have gotten and allocate our profits accordingly. If you have a favorite charity that you think we’d like to learn more about and see on this list, shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. As we grow and expand, we hope to add more charities to this list. And we hope to make you a part of that decision.
In their words: a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. 100% of proceeds given to charity: water will directly fund clean water solutions.
Why we love them: 100% model? How smart is that? That they have people who believe in them enough to cover all their administrative costs speaks volumes about them. Water affects everyone. Women, children, men; all over the world. It’s as non-exclusive a cause as you can find out there. And for some horrible reason, 9 out of 10 people lack access to clean water. The most basic of human needs. Don’t you think we should all try to do something about that?
Pencils of Promise
In their words: “We’re a for purpose organization that builds schools, trains teachers and funds scholarships. 100% of online donations go to PoP programs.
Why we love them: They asked what was needed, and they filled that void. They don’t just build schools, they monitor and evaluate all their projects. They also have 100% of their online donations go towards projects and fund their operational costs through private donors, events and companies. And because without an education, where would you be? Why shouldn’t every child deserve the same opportunity?
The Lunchbox Fund
In their words: “Fostering education via nutrition, The Lunchbox Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a daily meal for orphaned and vulnerable school children in township and rural areas of South Africa, a country where 65% of all children live in poverty. Receiving food encourages these children to stay in school and obtain their education. When a child stays in school, his or her risk of HIV infection, abuse and unwanted pregnancies is greatly reduced. Feed a child. Nourish a mind.”
Why we love them: They make sense. And they are honest. They have focused funding that translates directly into meals for kids. They make a huge difference without large donation campaigns. They are innovative, and helping everyone make a difference in their daily life. And they feed kids damn it.
